Melissa Claire Egan Leaving All My Children

“Crazy” Annie is leaving Pine Valley. All My Children star, Melissa Claire Egan, has announced that she will be leaving her Emmy-Nominated role of Annie Novak McDermott Lavery Chandler Chandler.

“After four-and-a-half incredible years as a member of the All My Children cast, I have made the extremely difficult decision to leave the Pine Valley family that I have come to love and respect so much,” Egan posted on her official website.

Rebecca Herbst Let Go From General Hospital

Popular General Hospital Star, Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth) has been let go from the soap she has called home since 1997.

ABC issued this statement: “Storyline dictates the exit of Elizabeth Webber this spring. The next few months promise to be a not miss story for the character. We at ABC and General Hospital wish Rebecca Herbst nothing but the best in all of her future endeavors.”

Shelley Hennig and Jay Kenneth Johnson Out at Days

Hot on the heels of Mark Hapka (Nathan) being let go from Days of Our Lives, come the news that Shelley Hennig (Stephanie) and Jay Kenneth Johnson (Philip) have both decided  to leave the show in the next few weeks.

“It just feels right,” Hennig told Soap Opera Digest¬†of her decision to leave. “I have been preparing for this for awhile, so I have said my mental good-byes. I will miss the faces I see here every day, but everybody has been really encouraging and has embraced my decision.”
