Tamara Braun Returns to Days, Natalia Livingston Exiting

 Tamara Braun will return to Days of Our Lives this spring, but not in her Emmy winning role of Ava Vitali. She will take over the role of Taylor Raines which is currently being played by Natalia Livingston.

What is the reason for this sudden change?  Days co-executive producer, Gary Tomlin said that the character of Taylor will be taken in a new direction.

Personally, I think they should keep Natalia as Taylor and bring Tamara back as Ava.

Shelley Hennig and Jay Kenneth Johnson Out at Days

Hot on the heels of Mark Hapka (Nathan) being let go from Days of Our Lives, come the news that Shelley Hennig (Stephanie) and Jay Kenneth Johnson (Philip) have both decided  to leave the show in the next few weeks.

“It just feels right,” Hennig told Soap Opera Digest of her decision to leave. “I have been preparing for this for awhile, so I have said my mental good-byes. I will miss the faces I see here every day, but everybody has been really encouraging and has embraced my decision.”

Melissa Reeves Returning to Days

Melissa Reeves is bringing Jennifer Horton Deveraux back to Salem full-time starting in November.

Reeves is coming off a short stint when she return to Days of Our Lives this past June for the wonderful tribute to Frances Reid  (Alice Horton).

Lindsay Hartley Out At Days

After a year of playing Arianna Hernandez, Lindsay Hartley has been let go from Days of Our Lives.

Hartley will continue to air throughout the rest of the summer, since the NBC soap has filmed several months ahead.

Kristian Alfonso Stays at Days of Our Lives

Days of Our Lives star, Kristian Alfonso (Hope) has signed a new contract to stay put in Salem.

Soapnet Over in 2012

The Walt Disney Company announced that the only soap network will go dark in 2012. They also announced that they will turn the channel into Disney Junior.

Frances Reid Has Passed Away

It is with a sad heart, that I have to report that Days of Our Lives star, Frances Reid has passed away yesterday at the age of 95.

Reid had a very accomplished career that consist of movies, theater, broadway, but  it was her role as Alice Horton that most people will remember her. She originated the role in 1965.

My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and to her co-workers at Days of Our Lives.
